Squid Support was built because great customer support shouldn't require a large team — it should require great software.

Why we built this

We've seen first-hand what happens to e-commerce support teams during peak season. Ticket queues balloon overnight. Response times slip from minutes to hours. Agents burn out copy-pasting the same answers to the same questions. Customers churn. It's a solvable problem — it just hadn't been solved well.

The tools that existed were either basic chatbots that frustrated customers, or enterprise platforms that took six months to implement and required a dedicated team to maintain. Neither worked for the brands we cared about: fast-growing DTC stores and mid-market e-commerce businesses that needed something powerful and immediate.

Squid Support is our answer. An AI helpdesk that connects directly to your store data, understands your products and policies, and resolves tickets autonomously — from the first message. Not a chatbot. Not a routing tool. A system that actually closes tickets.

Most support tools help humans manage tickets. We believe the best outcome is a ticket that never reaches a human at all — because it was resolved instantly and correctly by AI.

Trust through transparency

AI handling customer conversations is a responsibility. We give merchants full visibility into what the AI says, why it says it, and when it escalates.

We're intentionally lean. A small, focused team using great tools can build and ship faster than a sprawling org. We practise what we preach.
